Star Wars Battlefront 2 is almost upon us so many players are wondering their PC is up to the task in terms of running this game. DICE has become known over the years with both Battlefield and Battlefront for getting the most out of the available hardware and creating some of the best graphics around in shooters.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 looks spectacular on whatever platform you’re playing on whether it’s the base Xbox One and PS4 or the enhanced PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Of course, if you’re looking for the best looking way to play, there’s no better place to be than on PC.

For what this game delivers, the system requirements aren’t really that high for the minimum settings. The recommended settings to ramp things up a bit as they recommend a Skylake i7 coupled with either an RX 480 or GTX 1060. On the AMD side of things, it recommends a older, but still serviceable, CPU in the FX 8350 with the Wraith cooler.
Your specs will change depending on whether you do your gaming in 1080p, 1440p or 4K. Nvidia did a rundown through the resolutions and gave us a variety of recommendations based on what resolution we plan on gaming in.
For 1080p, Nvidia unsurprisingly recommends the GTX 1060. The 1060 manages to max out most AAA games this generation at 1080p so it’s a very powerful card despite being near the lower end of this generation’s Pascal architecture.
If you’re gaming in 1440p, Nvidia ups the recommendation to the GTX 1070 and says the game will run at an average of 66 FPS making this a very playable game still. For 4K, the recommendation jumps up to a GTX 1080 Ti and that will result in an average of 55 FPS.
On the AMD side of things, if we had to make a guess, we’d say at 1080p you should roll with the RX 480/580, 1440p with the Vega 56 and 4K with the Vega 64. The Vega 64 and 56 can give you playable 4K experience but we’re not sure it can deliver the same quality in Star Wars Battlefront 2 as the Nvidia counterparts can. The GTX 1080 and Vega 64 tend to trade blows in most games but the GTX 1080 Ti pulls ahead in most situations.
