Call of Duty WW2 is one of the biggest games of the year thanks to its new campaign, 1940s setting, and the polished multiplayer. Like the previous Call of Duty titles, users will be able to customize their character’s appearance to an extent. While you are limited to just some face models, clothes, and a helmet it’s still nice to have some options. However, the game is rather vague on how you earn these items and equip them on your shiny new soldier. Here’s a rundown on how to earn clothes and then unlock them:

Unlocking Clothes

When you start up Call of Duty WW2 you will be asked to join a Division, which acts as pseudo-classes for the multiplayer. These can be changed at any time, however, your uniforms will be tied to these different Divisions. The most obvious way to unlock new outfits is through Supply Drops, which are Call of Duty WW2’s version of loot crates. Clothing is one of the random possible items you will obtain and this is the only known way to earn Heroic tier outfits or skins. Thankfully, most of the outfits are actually lower in rarity and can be outright purchased at the HQ social hub.

When you load up the HQ head left towards the woman behind the desk drinking her coffee. This is your Quartermaster and she will act as the main source for you purchasing new clothes. The Quartermaster has two tabs, one called Contracts and another dubbed Collections. Select Collections to open up another menu that’s filled different weapon tabs. Select a gun that you frequently use to bring up a second menu that is directly tied to the weapon. The first item on this list that can be p[urchased with Armory Credits will be an outfit, which is displayed on your character model to the right.

This will be the main area you obtain new outfits, as players can outright purchase them for several thousand credits. To earn credits simply take missions from Major Howard, complete multiplayer quests, or obtain them from the main every four hours. You can then use these credits at the Quartermaster’s station to buy new outfits. Keep in mind the weapon you are purchasing these outfits for because they are tied to that weapon’s Division. If you buy a skin for the Lee Enfield then it will be linked to the Mountain class.

Equipping Clothes

Now that you have a spiffy new outfit you will want to make sure everyone can see it when you’re playing. To equip clothes hit the Start button to bring up your main menu and then go over to the Soldier tab. From here select Divisions and then highlight the loadout you want to alter your clothing for. Press X (PS4) / A (Xbox One) and then hit Triangle (PS4) / Y (Xbox One) to open the Personalize menu. From here you can choose which outfit you want this Division to wear when you’re using them out in the field.

Keep in mind all of your clothes outside of helmets are tied to Divisions and outfits you earn from Supply Drops aren’t guaranteed to revolve around the Division you use. As for helmets and face templates, you can go back to the Soldier tab, but this time click on the Dossier sub-tab. This will open up another menu where you can focus on more cosmetic items like emblems, calling cards, and clan tag. Now get out there soldier and strut your stuff!
